Now based in London, Tianyin grew up in Shanghai. He came to the UK to study Illustration in Bournemouth before becoming a freelance illustrator. He plays guitar, and enjoys riding a track bike, as well as collecting cameras and old mechanical watches.
Tianyin has a BA in Illustration from the Arts University Bournemouth.
His illustrations often bring together watercolour painting and vector graphics, and he uses digital tools to explore various effects and patterns.
Tianyin sees his style as something that balances the emotional with the rational, thanks to the way he combines traditionally created elements with digital art. There’s also a mixture of abstract and graphical forms in his work with softer painterly elements.
