The brief was to create artworks of a group of friends lunching in a Swiss landscape with mountains and lakes, and a chic kitchen illustration with the chef and his assistant. Ten of our illustrators were asked by Saatchi and Saatchi to take part in a fantastic subway exhibition in China. Called "Fresh Beginning for Love" the artworks, used large scale are on tour in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou right now with the aim of 'turning common subway stations into colourful art galleries.'

Nippon Paint invited a total of 32 artists and illustrators from around the world to use their environmentally friendly paints to create the 'love' images. Now, the stations are inspiring 'visual feasts' for commuters.

The Global Times says of the event "After touring the three cities, the 32 artworks will be sold at a charity bazaar at the end of this year. All the funds will be used for "Color, Way of Love," the charity platform of Nippon Paint China for Hope Project Schools, and to improve the teaching environment as well as art education.
Nippon Paint hopes that this philanthropic subway exhibition will inspire people who love beauty to look at their surroundings with fresh eyes and to fill their lives with color."

Our artists taking part, in order of the images above are; Melissa Chaib, Daria Jabenko, Nadia Flower, Muxxi, Shannon TothHannah Davies, Alex Fuentes, Christopher Corr, Wai and Kat Cameron.
