Summer at Hampton Court

Bill Hope illustrates the Hampton Court Palace kids' Summer events pamphlet.

Bill worked with the team at the Historic Royal Palaces office to design this pamphlet which incorporates portraits of characters from the past including Boudicca, Guy Fawkes and Henry VIII. He says, "I had a lot of fun on these historic portraits. The trick seemed to be finding a good balance between an amusing approach to the character and not falling into parody. I'd love to spend some more time on something like this and really get stuck into the historical reference and detail."
