Illustrator Profile - Michael Tonn

Michael is based in Vermont, USA and mainly self-taught. Always concerned with composition, Michael will begin by sketching some basic shapes and then ask himself, "Can I make this more dynamic?" He’ll look for a certain rhythm in the shapes, bring in movement and then add the details that are specific to the commission. There is always strong line work in Michael’s imagery, he spends a lot of time making sure his lines are concise and articulate, and likes to create a graphic feel, without stifling any depth and personality.
