Gomez, a Guy and a Megalozero

Gomez completes a series of humorous illustrations for Dodo Magazine.

Dodo is a rather trendy adventure, science and fantasy magazine who love to use illustration. This commission involved Gomez illustrating a story called 'Pangea', where a man accompanied by a 'Megalozero' travels across many fantastic places in the world. Gomez says "The illustration represents the scene when the Megalozero takes the guy to a town in Sami, Laponia. He's invited to a nightly vigil in one of their koptas. A woman plays the drums and sings a joiku, while her husband puts dinner on the fire: fresh salmon." The twelve images were shown across the bottom of different pages throughout the magazine, creating an enthralling story to follow.
